Here is the reason why you should not do this things after taking your meal.


1. Do not sleep after taking your meal





Going to sleep right after you eat causing your stomach to burn through the night, which causes discomfort, bloating, and odd sleeping patterns. A study at the University of Ioannina Medical School found that people who waited the longest after eating to go to bed were less likely to have a stroke. With this is mind, the rule of thumb is to not eat at least a few hours before bed


2. Eat fruit





Looks like you can’t have your daily serving of fruit as dessert anymore. Since they require different enzymes to digest, it’s best to eat fruit on an empty stomach to allow maximum absorption. If you eat it right after a meal, it won’t be able to digest properly and will be lumped together with that fab steak dinner you just had.


3. No smoking after taking meal






It is said that smoking after a meal is equivalent to smoking 10 cigarettes. No matter how true or false this is, smoking is harmful to your body and you should not smoke anyhow.



4. Avoid taking shower





Taking a shower or a bath after eating dinner can interfere with the process of digestion. Digestion requires a lot of energy and a good amount of blood flow toward the stomach. When you take a bath or shower right after eating dinner, it causes a slight decrease in body temperature.
It is advisable to wait at least 30 to 45 minutes after any meal before bathing. If possible, take a shower or bath before dinner and change into a light outfit.


5. Do Not Have Tea





Whilst tea has its own benefits, when it comes to diffusing cardiovascular diseases, the polyphenols in tea makes it difficult for your body to absorb the iron from your food. The acid content in tea also interferes with the proteins in the food. This is the reason it is recommended not to drink tea immediately after a meal.


6. Avoid cold water after a meal





Drinking cold water is very refreshing, but ice water do not let to the food digest properly because it cause clumping of food. Hot or warm water helps absorb nutrients better.


7. Never do exercise after your meal





Doing exercise after your meal may result stomach upset,vomiting, nauseas, puffiness, etc. Take a rest for two to three hours before you doing any exercise.
